GENERAL ELEOTION OF OFFIOERS: ,1 '109"'" "AN ORDINANOE providing for general elections in the town of Ma¥ysville,Snohomish Oounty,State of Washington and providing the manner of conducting the same and providing for the election of the several officers of said town and fixing the duration of their terms of office and providing the manner of declaring the result of such elections." BE IT O:EIDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARYSVILLE: SEOTION .1.That hereafter on the first 1'uesday after the first Monday in December in each year there shall be held a general election in said town at which eleotion the qualified voters of said town in each odd year shall elect a Mayor,Treasurer and two Oouncilmen,and in each evem.year shall elect a '!'reasurer and three councilmen and the Mayor and Councilmen shall each hold office for the period of two years from and after the second Tuesday in Jan- uary next succeeding the day of such election and until his suc- cessor is elected and qualified and the Treasurer shall hold office for the period of one year from and after the second Tuesday in January next succeeding his election.Provided,that at the gen- eral election to be held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in December 1891 there shall be five councilmen elected who shall:at their first meeting after such election classify them- selves by lot so that three of their number shall go out of office at the expiration of one year and two of·their number at the ex_ piration of two years.-Sec.1 is also a State Law (9165 Remington's Oom]liled Statutes of 1922)r,; slllOIDlITOl\TS 2 to ll-inclusivefluperseded by Washington State Election Laws (9165 Remington's Compiled Statutes of 1922 and others)and repealed by Ordinance No.308.
