DISORDERLY·CONDUCT:
AN'ORDINANCE to maintain the peace,good government and welfare of
the ~own of Marysville,Washington.
BE IT ORDAINED BI THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARYSVILLE;
SECTION 1.Whoever shall wi thin the"limi ts of the :J,'own of
Marysville be gUilty of qrunkenness,fighting,or any indecent,
riotous Or disorderly conduct,Or any actor conduct tending to
debauch the public m(i)rals,or to a disturbance of the peace of said
town,shall upon conviction thereof be fined not less than ten
dollars nor more than one hundred dollars,or be imprisoned in the
jail of said town not exceeding thirty days,or be both fined and
imprisoned.
SECTION 2.Any person or persons who shall within the limits
of the town o~Marysville be gUilty of an assault and battery,as
defined by the laws of the State of Washington,shall,upon convict-
ion thereof,be fined not less than twenty dollars nor more than
one hundred dollars,or be imprisoned in the jail of said town not
exceeding thirty days,or be both fined and imprisoned.
SECTION 3.Whoever shall within the limits of the town of
Marysville fire or discharge any cannon,gun pistol,or revolver
or any firearm of any description,or shall explode or set off any
squib,firecracker,torpedo or other thing containing powder or
other explosive material,without the permission of the mayor so to
do,.shall,on conviction thereof,be fined in any sum not exceeding
twenty-five dollars.Provided,that nothing in this section shall
be so construed as to prevent the ordinary and usual fire-works
demonstration on national holidays,subject,however,to such rules
and regulations as the town marshall may deem proper and necessary
to secure the protection of ,property from fire.
SECTION 4.WhOever shall within the limits of the town of
Marysville,by word,sign or gesture,wilfully provoke another
person to commit an assault and battery or other breach of the
peace,shall,upon conviction thereof,be fined in any sum not
exceeding twenty-five dollars.
tlo>ECTION 5.Any person who shall sound the fire alarm or in any
way interfere with the fire bell or other fire apparatus belonging
to the town of Marysville,except in case of fire,shall be fined
in any sum not exceeding one hundred dollars.Provided,that this
section shall not apply to any fireman or other authorized person
in the d Lschange.ior his duty.
SECTION 6.Any person convicted of Violating any of the pro-
visions of this ordinance shall be adjudged to pay the costs of
prosecution in addition to the penalty herein provided for,and
every person who shall be in default of payment of such fine and
costs of prosecution,shall be committed to the jail of saidtowIl
until such fine and costs are paid.,which said imprisonment shall

SECTION 7.The following ordinances of the town of Marysville
are hereby repelled:
Ordinance No.17,entitled:"An Ordinance to prohibit the
firing of guns and other explosives within the town of
Marysville ;'

scribing the punishment of certain misdemeanors,"
Ordinance No.30,entitled:"An Ordinance defining and.Pre-
scribing the punishment of certain misdemeanors,"
Ordinance No.55,entitled:"An Ordinance relating to fire
alarm and other fire apparatus,"
SECTION 8.This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage,approval and publication.
