BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOW~OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON: That commencing the 1st day of January,1943,the salaries and compensation of the following named officers of the Town of Marysville shall be and'is fixed per year as follows: $480.00 600100 240.00 1725,00 575.00 120.00 1863.00 1380.00 575.00 1743.00 575.00 483.00 480.00 180.00Janitor-Jailer------------- TownClerk -:-_ Park Caretaker __ Nigh t Marshale--....,-- Special Night Marshal ----- Day Marshal__--~-------- Supt.of Water Department --__-- Clerk of Water Department --_- Water Supt I s Helper _ Street Superintendent _ Street Supt I s Helper _ Police Judge _ Town Attorney_,~--__---- Town Treasurer __ All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed and amended to conform to the amounts and salaries fixed herein. (C)TRAFFIC SIGNS A1~SIGNALS.Illuminated signs and signals which are authorized or maintained by governmental authority for the purpose of controlling or directing street or highway traffic.shall be shielded so that no direct rays from the light sources are emitted above the horizontal in respect to lights mounted ten feet or more above the glJound or above an angle of more than .s rx degrees above the . horizontal in respect to lights mounted less than ten but more than three feet above the ground,or above an angle of more than twelve degrees above the horizontal in respect to lights mounted less than three feet above the g~onnd.Relative variations in the upward limit of light are permissibTheeto compensate for grades. (D)NAVIGATION AND RAILROAD LIGHTS.Authorized lights necessary to facilitate air or water navigation, authorized railroad signal lights,and the headlights of railroad locomotives When in'motion,are hereby excepted from all .th e provisions of this Proclamation.". The provisions of Section 1 (b)1 hereby concering street and highway lights shall become effective November 12,1942. Section 2:PENALTIES.Any violation of,or failure to comply with any provision of this Ordinance shall be punishable by a fine not exceedihg Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00)or by imprisonment in the City Jail not exceeding Ninety (90)days,or by both such fine and imprisonment. Section 3:VffiEREAS,a state of war exists thereby creating an emergency and it is necessary that this ordinance take effect immediately,and this Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and pUblication.
