An ordinance providing for the terms of office of the
elective officers of the Town of Marysville and amending Ordinance
No.372.
BE IT ORDAINED BY l'HE TOWN COUNCIL OJ:<'THE TOWN OF MARYSVILLE:
Section 1.In order to conform with R.C.vv.3.5.27.090,Section 7,
Chapter 1.5.5,Laws of 19.5.5,Section 1 of Ordinance No.372 is amended
to read as follows:
Section 1.The Mayor,councilmen and treasurer shall be
elected by the qualified electors of the Town at the general
municipal election to be held biennially therein on the second
Tuesday in March in the even numbered years.The term of office
of the mayor and treasurer shall be four years from and after the
first Monday in June next succeeding the day of such election and
until their successors are elected and qualified;provided,that
the term of the treasurer elected at the 1956 general election
shall be for two years only.Councilmen shall be elected for
four year terms,three at one election"al1d two at the next succeed-
ing biennial election,and shall hold office from and after the
first Monday in June next succeeding the day of such election and
until their successors are elected and qualified.
There shall be no general municipal election held in the
year 19.57 and the officers whose terms would have expired in 19.57,
but for the provisions of this ordinance,shall continue in office
until their successors are elected at the general election to be
