AN ORDINANCE prohibiting the discharge of certain waters into sanitary
sewer systems and amending Sectiqn 26 of Ordinance No.256.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TffiolN OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON:
Section I"Section 26 of Ordinance No.256 is hereby amended to read
as follows:
SECTION 26.Preventing Discharge of any Foreign Substance in Sewers:
It shall beunlawful for any person to make,or maintain a connection with any
pUblic sewer through which there is discharged into the sewer any of the follow-
ing:Any substance whatsoever that will tend to retard the flow of the sewer
by adhering to the interior sukaces,or by depositing therein,any gases that
are combustible;or acids or other substances in such quantities as will tend
to destroy/the sewers;or substances of such a noxious character as will be
injurious to the health.All such connections shall have intercepting traps
or separators which will completely separate the substances from the water or
sewage and allow their safe and convenient removal,and all such traps or
sepa~ors shall be of design,construction and capacity as shall be approved
by the Sanitation Committee.No person shall discharge or cause to be dis-
charged any storm water,surface water,ground water,roof water,runoff
water or subsurface drainage into any sanitary sewer.
