An Ordinance »r the City oj Narysvil~e relating to vagrancy.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF ru«CITY OF f:}JiRYSVILL£DO ORDAIN AS FOLLO,IS:
SECTION I FortunetelLers.Euery person who asks or receiues any
compensation,gratuity or reward for practicing fortuneteLLing,
palmistry,phreno~ogy or clairooyance is a vagrant and is guilty
of a misdemeanor.'
SECTION 11 Concealing stoLen pro'pertl/•.Eoery person wh.o k0eps
a pLace where lost or stoLen property is concealed is a vagrant
and is gui Lty of a mt stiemeanor ,
SECTION III Prostitution.if.'very person practicing or soliciting
prostituion or keeping or working in a house of prostitution is a
vagrant and is yuilt y of a.misdemeanor.
SfXTION IV Intoxicated persons.Every common drunkard found
in any place where iritoxicating liquors are soLd or kept for sale,
or in an in t ox i cc.i ed condt ion is a uagrant and is gui Lty of a mi s»,
demeanor.
SNCTION V Gamblers.Euery cownon gambl~r found in any place
where gambling is conducted or where gambling paraph.ernalia or
devices are kept is a vagrant and is guilty of a misdemeanor.
seCTION VI Healthy person solLci,ting alms.Every healthy per-
son who solicits alms is a uagrant and is guilty of a misdemeanor.

SECTION VIII Loitering at night.£uery person who wanders
about the streets at late or unusuQl hourS of the night without
any uisible or Lawfu~business is a uugrunt and is guilty of a
misdemeanor.
SECTION IX Lodging in barns,sheds,cars,etc.Euery person
who Lodges in any barn,shed,snop,outhouse,uessel,car,saloon
or other place not kept for lodging purposes,without the perm.is-:
sion of the owner or'person entitled to the posaesSion ther~of,is
a vagrant and is guilty of a misdemeanor.

visible means of support,Wh.o does not seek employment nor,al-
