ORDINANCE NO
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE PERTAINING
TO VACATION LEAVE OF CITY EMPLOYEES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS
follows
Sect10n 1 The vacat10n prov1s1ons shall be as
The days of vacatlon shall be determlned In accordance
wlth the number of years actually employed by the C1ty and In accord-
ance wlth the followlng schedule
(1)For the flrst year of employment the employee
shall not recelve any vacatlon
(2)Every employee who has been In fact employed for
one (1)contlnuous year through flve (5)contlnuous
years shall recelve ten (10)days of vacatlon each year
(3)Every employee who has been In fact employed for
SlX (6)contlnuous years through ten (10)contlnuous
years shall recelve flfteen (15)days vacat10n each year
(4)Every employee who has been In fact employed for
eleven (11)contlnuous years through twenty (20)contln-
uous years shall recelve twenty (20)days vacat10n each
year
(5)Every employee who has been In fact employed for
twenty-one (21)cont1nuous years or more shall recelve
twen~y-flve (25)days of vacatlon each year
Sectlon 2 A vacatlon day as used In th1S Ordlnance 1S
a normal work1ng day
Sectlon 3.Vacat10n 1S to be taken at a t1me agreeable
to the Clty Adminlstrator and the Mayor
Sectlon 4 Ordlnance No 681 §A,enacted 1969,be and
the same lS hereby repealed
Sectlon 5.ThlS Ordlnance shall take effect from and after
passage and five days followlng ltS publlcatl0n as requlred by law

SectIon 1.Each CIty employee shall be entItled to
receIve accident or SIck leave of one (1)day for each month of
employment commencIng WIth January 1,1974 Each employee may
accumulate an unlImIted quantIty of accIdent or sIck leave days
The CIty employee who IS unable to work due to an accIdent or an
Illness shall be entItled to full salary for each day of mIssed
work up to the total number of accumulated days of accIdent or sIck
leave.

TO SICK LEAVE
SectIon 2 In the event of an IndustrIal accIdent an
employee shall be elIgIble for salary contInuatIon whIch shall be
~omp~t~d at the d~ff~renc~between the State IndustrIal compensa-
tion and his aetu~l salary for a period of hl~or her aetual ree@lpt
of the State IndustrIal compensatIon up to a maXImum of SIX (6)
months.The SIX (6)months shall Include accumulated accIdent or
SIck leave under SectIon 1 hereof

SectIon 3.Every employee of the CIty who IS employed at
the tIme of the adoptIon of thIS OrdInance shall receIve ten (r~)/~
days of accumulated accIdent or SIck leave for each full year such
person has In fact been employed.
SectIon 4.The CIty CouncIl shall have the power In
negotla~lng a labor contract to negotIate accIdent or SIck leave
separa~e from thIS OrdInance
SectIon 5 OrdInance No 681,§B,enacted 1969,be and
the same IS hereby repealed
SectIon 6.ThIS OrdInance shall take effect from and
after passage and fIve (5)days followIng ItS publIcatIon as requlred
by law
