An Ordinance of the City of M~rysvil]e adding a
new section to Chapter 19.16 of the Marysville
Municipal Code relating.t'o temporary uses.
THE ,CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLt,WASHINGTON
DC ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.Purpose.The putpose of this section is to
provide for certain temporary uses incidental t~the principal
long term use of property.Temporary uses are to be permitted tinly
under the conditions as set ,forth herein,~nd wh~re it is found
that they do not endanger the public health,safety and welfate.
Section 2.Permitted Uses.The following uses are
~ermitted outrIght subject to all building and health requirements:
a.Temporary dwelling for use as a'residence during
construction of,ihe principal uSe on a lot.
b.Temporary rcal estate sales office located in a
model or display home,subject to the following
conditions:
1.If situated in a res idential zone,'s aid
office ~ay.only be used for sales activities
related to the plat in which it is located.,
2.If situated in a commercial zone,said office
may onl!be'used for sales related to the
iliodel or diSplay home its~lf.
3.Within a period of one year the ,use of the
building for a temporary real estate sales
office sh~ll terminate,and the huilding shall
be used exclusively thereafter for uses
permitted'withth that zone,and shall meet all
building and'fire codes applicable thereto,
or shall be ifumediately removed.
Section 3.Conditional Uses.Because of their size or
effect upon surroundin'g pr ope rty ,the folloWing uses of land may
be permitted in any zone allowing resid~ntial uses only upon
issuance of a conditional use permit.The permit shpll not be
granted where condi tions canno.t be imposed which are sufficient to
protect public health,safety ,and welfare.

The temporaTY dwelling shall be occupi~d'by
not mOTe than two persons.
Use as a commertial residence shall be

The,temporary dwelling shall be si tuated not
less than twenty feet from the principal
dwellirig 6n the same'lot and shall not be:
located in any rciquired yard 6f the principal
dwelling..
A currentvehicu1aT license plate,if,applicabl~,
shall be'mairitained duririg the perib~of time

to 'the continuing need for the temporaty dwellirig
and,in ~riting,agree that such use of the
pioperty shall"terminate at su~h ti~e as the
need no longer ~xists.
