Home My WebLink AboutO-1223 - Annexation (Special).1' -,.,'..."":-.,..~...f xc:~Gel..,"-Pt.t.b, "3 ~WG S c.Cl>tAl.lC.j I I BJ.\~.l~ev"Bd, J Cf ,I9fF,c.e:r C I T.Y OF MAR Y S V ILL E Marysville,.Washington ORDINANCE NO. )2-1:3 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE ANNEXING CERTAIN UNINCORPORATED AREA INTO THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE WHEREAS,on July 13,1981,there was received by the City Council of the City of Marysville,and filed with the Clerk of said City,a petition for annexation,said petition having been signed by the owners of not less thant 75%of the assessed value of the prop- erty proposed for ann~xation;and WHEREAS,on July 27,1981,a duly advertised public hear- ing was held on the proposed annexation before the City Council of the City of Marysville,said hearing being continued to August 3, 1981,and said Council unanimously passed Resolution No.1019 stat- ing the City's intention to annex the territory legally described in an Exhibit attached to said resolution upon receipt of a favor- able report from the Snohomish County Boundary Review Board;and WHEREAS,on December 14,1981,a duly advertised public hearing was held on the proposed annexation before the Snohomish County Boundary Review Board,and a decision was rendered by said Board on January 12,1982,approving the annexation subject to the deletion of certain properties along the exterior boundaries thereof. A legal description of the revised annexation area is attached hereto as Exhibit A;and WHEREAS,on February 22 ,1982,a duly advertised public hearing was held on the revised annexation proposal before the City Council of the City of Marysville,and the Council finding that the petitions for said annexation were legally sufficient,that all annexation proceedings have been in conformity to the law,and that the revised annexation boundary was in the public interest;NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON,DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1.That the property described in Exhibit A,being situated in the unincorporated area of Snohomish County,State of Washington,and being contiguous,proximate and adjacent to the pres- ent corporate limits of the City of Marysville,is hereby annexed to and incorporated into the City of Marysville. ORDINANCE - 1 Section 2.That the property described in Exhibit A shall hereafter be assessed and taxed at the same rate and on the same basis as oth~r properties in the City of Marysville,includ- ing assessments or taxes in payment of all the outstanding indebted- ness of the City contracted or incurred prior to,or existing on the effective date of this Ordinance. Section 3.That the Comprehensive Plan for the City of Marysville heretofore prepared for the property described in Exhibit A be and the same is hereby adopted as the official Comprehensive Plan for said property. on Section 4.
