AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE A~mNDING SECTION
3.64.040 OF THE.~ffiRYSVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE, AS ADOPTED
ON DECEHBER 22,1975,BY ORDINANCE 882 AND RELATING TO
A UTILITY TAX ON ELECTRICITY SERVICES
THE CITY COUNCIL of the Ci ty of i-1a.rysville,Washington,DO
ORDAIN as follows:
Section 3.64.040 of the Marysville Municipal Code,as adopted
on December 22,1975,by Ordinance No.882 is hereby amended to provide
as follows:
3.64.040 Sale of electricity.Upon every ,business engaged
in the sale of electricity,including a public utility district,there
is levied a tax equal to four and twenty-five one hundreths percent
(.0425)of the total gross monthly service charges billed to business
and residenceccustomers within the corporate limits of the City.The
,tax shall be payable monthly on or before the twentieth day of the fol-
lowing month.In computing the tax,there shall be deducted from the
revenues the amount of any uncollectible service charges actually sus-
tained by the taxpayer.The effective date of this tax shall be
January 1,1983.

ferred to,published in the English language continually as a
weekly newspaper in Marysville,Snohomish County,Wash-
ington,and it is now and during all of said time was printed
in an office maintained at the aforesaid place of publication
of said newspaper.That the annexed is a true copy of a

THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Marysville,washington,DO ORDAIN as
follows:.
Section 3.64.040 of the Marysville Municipal Code, as adopted on December 22,1975,
by Ordinance No. 882 is hereby amended to provide as fOllows:
