AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE ESTABLISHING
A CUMULATIVE RESERVE FUND FOR GENERAL MUNICIPAL
PURPOSES,REPEALING CHAPTERS 3.20,3.22,3.24,
3.28,3.29,3.31,3.48 AND 3.56 OF THE MARYSVILLE
MUNICIPAL CODE,AND TRANSFERRING RE}~INING BALANCES
FROM SAID FUNDS TO OTHER EXISTING FUNDS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ~mRYSVILLE,WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.A new Chapter in Title 3 of the Marysville
Municipal Code is hereby enacted to provide as follows:
GENERAL CUMULATIVE RESERVE FUND
3.Created.There is hereby created a General
Cumulative Reserve Fund for the purpose of buying supplies,mater-
ials or equipment,and the construction,alteration or repair of
any public building or work,and the making of any public improve-
ment,and for the purpose of creating a revenue stabilization fund
for future operations.
3.Source of Funds.Deposits shall be made to said
Fund from time to time as directed by ordinance of the City Council,
and as may be provided for in the annual budget.

SECTION 2.Repealer.The following chapters of the
Marysville Municipal Code are hereby REPEALED:

Chapter 3.22 (Cumulative Reserve Fund for
Construction of Buildings)
Chapter 3.24 (Cumulative Reserve Fund for
Fire Department Equipment)

Chapter 3.29 (Cumulative Reserve Fund for
Water Supply or Sewage Disposal)
Chapter 3.31 (Sanitation Capital Improvement
and Acquisition Fund)
Chapter 3.48 (Cumulative Reserve,for Storm
Drain Betterments)
Chapter 3.56 (Cumulative Reserve Fund for
Construction,Alteration,
Maintenance and Repair of City
Buildings)
Any balances remaining in said funds shall be transferred and used
as set forth in Section 3 of this ordinance.
SECTION 3.Transfer and Disposition of Fund Balances.
Balances of funds which have been repealed herein shall be trans-
ferred and distributed as follows:
1.The balance in the Cumulative Reserve Fund for the
Fire Department is hereby transferred to the Equipment Rental Fund,
and shall be reserved therein for purchasing or maintenance of Fire
Department Equipment.
2.The balance in the Cumulative Reserve Fund for Storm
Drain Betterments is hereby transferred to the City Street Fund,and
shall be appropriated for expenditures through the City's annual
budgeting process.
3.The balance in the Cumulative Reserve Fund for Con-
struction,Alteration,Maintenance and Repair of City Buildings is
hereby transferred to the General Cumulative Reserve Fund established
in Section 1 above,and shall be used for the purposes stated therein.
