CIT Y 0 F MAR Y S V ILL E Marysville,Washington ORDINANCE NO./1,2 9 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE RELATING TO FOWL AND LIVESTOCK KEEPING,AND MmNDING SECTIONS 10.16.040 AND 10.16.080 OF THE MARYSVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1.Section 10.16.040 of the Marysville Munici- pal Code is hereby amended to provide as follows: Enclosures Must Be Clean.All houses,pens or enclosures where chickens,turkeys,geese,ducks, pigeons or other domestic fowl or rabbits are kept shall be kept clean and free from disagree- able odors.No organic material furnishing food for flies shall be allowed to accumulate on the premises.All manure and other refuse must be kept in tightly covered fly-proof receptacles and disposed of at least once each week in a manner approved by the Animal Control Officer. Section 2.Section 10.16.080 of the Marysville Munici- pal Code is hereby amended to provide as follows: Public Nuisance --Notice of Abatement --Penalties. Any violation of the provisions of this chapter shall constitute a public nuisance.Upon being advised of the same,the Animal Control Officer may serve notice upon the owner or occupant of the subject premises requiring that the nuisance be abated within a period of not less than three days. It shall be unlawful for any person to fail to com- ply with said notice of abatement.Any person found guilty of said failure to comply shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine not to exceed $300.00. this ~PASSED b::the Ci~Council and APPROVED by the Mayor/;,;,!day of eEc~.MIJF,I(,1983.
