AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ~ffiRYSVILLE ENACTING
A NEW CHAPTER IN TITLE 16 OF THE MARYSVILLE
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO FACTORY-BUILT HOUSING
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF rffiRY~VILLE,WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
A new chapter is hereby enacted in Title 16 of the
Marysville Municipal Code,entitled "Factory-Built Housing,"and
providing as follows:
Section 1.Definitions."Factory-Built Housing"means
a structure constructed and partially assembled in a factory and
transported to the building site for final erection.Such struc-
tures meet all requirements of the Uniform Building Code.Once
erected at the site,they are not mobile and are not considered
to be mobile/manufactured homes under Chapter 19.30.
Section 2.Permitted Uses.Factory-built houses may
be permitted upon the issuance of a Conditional Use Permit by the
Board of Adjustment in any zone where other permanent residential
structures are permitted.
Section 3.Building Permit --Fee.A Building Permit
shall be required for the erection of a factory-built house,and
the full Building Permit fee shall be paid to the City before con-
struction at the factory begins.
Section 4.Inspections --Code Compliance.A factory-
built house must be inspected at least two (2)times at the fac-
tory by the State Building Inspector during the construction pro-
cess,and must receive an approval certifying that it meets all
requirements of the Uniform Building Code.At the building site
the City Building Official will conduct foundation,plumbing and
final inspections.
Section 5.Foundations.A factory-built house cannot
be attached to a metal frame allowing it to be mobile.All such
structures must be placed on a permanent foundation at the building
site.

Section 6.Garages.All factory-built houses shall
have an attached garage erected on the site.
PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by the Mayor
