THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1.Repealer.Section 12.06.010 of the Marys- ville Municipal Code is hereby REPEALED for the reason that the same is superseded by the following provisions of this ordinance. Section 2.New Chapter 12.06 Enacted.A new Chapter 12.06 of the Marysville Municipal Code is hereby enacted to pro- vide as follows: CHAPTER 12.06 CLASSIFICATION OF STREETS 12.06.010 Definitions. (1)Major Arterials.Major arterials are defined as transportation arteries which connect the focal points of traf- fic interest within the City;arteries which provide communica- tion with other communities and the outlying areas;or arteries which have relatively high traffic volume compared with other streets within the City. (2)Secondary A~terials.S~condary ~rter.ia1s are defined as routes which serve lesser points of traffic interest within the City;provid~'communication :with outlying 'd~stricts in the same decree or serve to collect and distribute traffic from the major arterials to the local stre~ts. (3)Collector Streets.Collector streets are defined as routes which provide for vehicle movement within small dis- tricts or neighborhoods of the City.Collector streets serve very little "through traffic,"but serve a high portion of local traffic requiring direct access to abutting land uses.Collector streets have a combined function of moving traffic and serving land uses within the neighborhood. (4)Access Streets.Access streets are defined as land service streets and are generally limited to providing access to abutting property.They are tributary to the major and secondary thoroughfares and generally discourage through traffic. 12.06.020 Major Arterials Designated.The following streets are hereby designated as major arterials: Ordinance - 1 ·, (1)State Avenue from Ebey Slough to the north corporate limits of the City; (2)Fourth Street from Ash Avenue to 53rd Avenue N.E.; (3)64th Street N.E.from 53rd Avenue N.E.to the east corporate limits of the City. 12.06.·030 Secondary Arterials Designated.1he follow- ing streets are hereby designated as secondary arterials: (1)Ash Avenue from Fifth Street to Grove Street; (2)Beach Avenue from First Street to Fifth Street; (3)Cedar Avenue from First Street to 80th Street N.E.; (4)80th Street N.E.from Cedar Avenue to 47th Avenue N.E.; (5)Grove Street from Ash Avenue to Liberty Avenue; (6)Eighth Street from Ash Avenue to Liberty Avenue: (7)Second Street from State Avenue to Liberty Avenue; (8)First Street from Beach Avenue to State Avenue; (9)Liberty Avenue from south City limits to 84th Street N.E . .(10)Armar Road from Liberty Avenue to northeast City limits; (11)67th Avenue N.E.from south City limits to Armar Road; (12)Third Street from Liberty Avenue to east City limits; (13)Fifth Street from Ash Avenue to Beach Avenue; (14)First Street Bypass from State Avenue to east City limits; (15)88th Street N.E.from State Avenue to East City limits; (16)67th Street N.E.from Liberty Avenue to Armar Road; (17)83rd Avenue N.E.from 64th Street N.E.to 76th Street N.E.
