AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE ENACTING
CHAPTER 16.10 OF THE MARYSVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE
WHICH ADOPTS THE WASHINGTON STATE ENERGY CODE
(CHAPTER 51~12 WAC)BY REFERENCE AND ESTABLISHES
CRIMINAL PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON,DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
A new chapter of the Marysville Municipal Code is hereby
enacted to provide as follows:
CHAPTER 16.10
ENERGY CODE
16.10.010 Adoption of Code.A certain document,not less
than one copy of which is on file in the office of the Clerk of
the City of Marysville,being marked and designated as the
Washington State Energy Code,Chapter 51-12 of the Washington
Administrative Code,is adopted as the Energy Code of the City
of Marysville for the purpose of providing minimum standards for
new or altered buildings and structures,or portions thereof,to
achieve efficient use of energy.Each and all of the regulations,
provisions,penalties,conditions and terms of said code are incor-
porated and made a part of this chapter as if fully set forth in
this chapter.
16.10.020 Subsequent Amendments.All amendments or supple-
ments to the washington State Energy Code (Chapter 51-12 WAC)
hereinafter adopted by the State of Washington shall become a
part of this code in all respects insofar as it is applied and
enforced within the jurisdictional boundaries of the City of
Marysville.
16.10.030 Violations --Penalties.It shall be unlawful
for any person,firm or"corporation to "erect or construct any
building,or remodel or rehabilitate any existing building or
structure in the City,or allow the same to be done,contrary
to or in viOlation of any of the provisions of the Energy Code.
Ordinance - 1
Violations of said code are misdemeanors and shall be punished
pursuant to Section 1.01.080 of the Marysville Municipal Code.
