AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE AMENDING SECTION
19.52.010 RELATING TO MEMBERSHIP ON THE BOARD OF
ADJUSTMENT.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 19.52.010 of the Marysville Municipal Code is hereby
amended to provide as follows:
19.52.010 Establishment--Membership.A Board of
Adjustment is established for the City of Marysville.
Said Board shall consist of five members who shall be
appointed and removed by the Mayor,subject to confir-
mation by majority vote of the City Council.All
members shall be residents of the City.The term of
office of each member shall be four years;said terms
shall be staggered so that no more than two positions
become vacant in any year.No member may be appointed
for more than two consecutive terms.Cause for removal
from office shall be neglect of duty,misconduct in
office,or failure to attend three consecutive meetings
without excuse.Before removal of any member of the
Board,the allegations upon which the removal is based
shall be set forth in writing and the member being
removed shall be given reasonable notice thereof and
shall be given an opportunity to be heard before'the
Council.
