ORDINANCE NO.1!D 'YI
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE ANNEXING CERTAIN
UNINCORPORATED AREA KNOWN AS THE SCHMELZER PROPERTY
INTO THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE.
WHEREAS,on July 25,1988 the city of Marysville received a
petition for annexation of 92 acres of property located east of
67th Avenue N.E.at the intersection with 61st Place N.E.,said
petition having been signed by the owners of not less than 75%of
the assessed value of said property;and
WHEREAS,a dUly advertised pUblic hearing was held on said
petition before the Marysville City Council on August 28,1988,
and said council unanimously passed Resolution 1333 stating the
City's intention to annex the property upon receipt of a
favorable report from the Snohomish County Boundary Review Board;
and
WHEREAS,on February 14,1989 the proposed annexation came
before the Snohomish County Boundary Review Board for a pUblic
hearing and said Board voted unanimously to approve the annexa~
tion SUbject to the addition of the following lots to the
annexation territory:
Lot 11 of the Graafstra Addition
Lot 12 of the Graafstra Addition
Lot 13 of the Graafstra Addition
Tax Lot 3-021
Tax Lot 3-022
Tax Lot 3-023
WHEREAS,the city Council finds that the addition of the
lots described above to the annexation territory is appropriate
and consistent with the public interest;NOW,THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
section 1.That certain property described in Exhibit A
attached hereto,being situated in the unincorporated area of
Snohomish County,State of Washington,and being contiguous,
proximate and adjacent to the present corporate limits of the
City of Marysville,is hereby annexed to and incorporated into
tile City of Marysville.

That certain property described in Exhibit A
shall hereafter be assessed and taxed at the same
same basis as other property within the city of
Marysville,including assessments or taxes for the payment of all
of the outstanding indebtedness of the City contracted or
incurred prior to,or existing on,the effective date of this
ordinance.
section 3.A Comprehensive Plan for the city of Marysville
designating the above-described property in the following land
use classifications is hereby adopted as the official
comprehensive plan for said property:
That portion of the property located west of the
subdivision line which is an extension of 71st Avenue
N.E.shall be in the Residential 9600 classification.
That portion of the property located east of said
subdivision line shall be in the Residential 12,500
classification.
section 4.This ordinance shall be and become effective on

PASSED by the city Council and APPROVED by the Mayor this
