ORDINANCE NO./7;;1
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE RESTRICTING
PARKING ON PUBLIC HIGHWAYS,AND REPEALING SECTION
11.16.020 OF THE MARYSVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
PARKING IN ALLEYS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
section 1.A new section 11.04.045 of the Marysville
Municipal Code is hereby enacted to provide as follows:
11.04.045.Parking on Public Highways Restricted.The
following restrictions pertaining to parking on public
highways are in addition to all other restrictions relating
to such parking found in the Washington Model Traffic
Ordinance (Chapter 46.90 RCW),Chapter 11.16 of the
Marysville Municipal Code,and Chapter 11.36 of the
Marysville Municipal Code.In the event of conflicts or
inconsistency between said codes,the more restrictive shall
apply.
(a)No vehicle shall be parked on any pUblic
highway for in excess of 48 continuous hours.
(b)No non-vehicular items of personal property,
including trailers,shall be parked on a pUblic highway
at any time except for the temporary purpose of
loading or unloading.Provided,that commercial truck
trailers may be parked for up to 48 continuous hours on
the shoulders of Cedar Avenue between the 100 and 600
blocks.
(c)Parking in public alleys of the City shall be
prohibited;provided,that vehicles may stand in a
public alley for the exclusive purpose of loading or
unloading passengers or materials for the minimum time
necessary to accomplish said purpose.
section 2.section 11.16.020 of the Marysville Municipal
Code is hereby REPEALED for the reason that the same has been
superseded by the foregoing enactment.
