THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: section 14.07.070(b)is hereby amended to provide as follows: (b)Calculation of Commercial Sewer Rates.Commercial sewer rates shall be based upon the quantity of water delivered to the premises by the Marysville water system,as determined by the water meter reading,with the following exceptions: (1)The property owner may,at its own expense, arrange the plumbing on commercial premises so as to separate water which will be discharged into the sewer system from water which will not be so discharged,and a separate meter shall be installed to measure the amount of actual sewage discharged.In such a case, the sewer rate shall be based only on the actual sewer use.The installation of such plumbing and meters must be inspected and approved by the city utility Depart- ment. (2)Where a commercial property is connected to sewer service but obtains all or a part of its water supply from a source other than the Marysville water .system,the city shall determine the sewer rate to be charged on a case by case basis using an estimated figure for the quantity of sewage being discharged. The City may require the property owner to install a water meter and/or a sewage meter at the property owner's cost.The specifications and installation of such meters must be approved by the City utility Department. ~ASSED bY~Ouncil and APPROVED by the Mayor this a71~day of ~,1990.
