WHEREAS,the city presently imposes a fee for various applications and the review and administration thereof,for such matters as rezones,preliminary plats,final plats,short plats, binding site plans,annexations,variances to the zoning code, SEPA checklists,shoreline permits,boundary line adjustments, and conditional use permits;and WHEREAS,the city Council finds that the present fees for the above-referenced applications do not cover the actual cost of processing,review and administration of said applications by the various City staff responsible for such review and administration;and WHEREAS,the city Council finds that the City does not recoup any of its costs on certain land use,planning and zoning matters,and therefore,it is appropriate to establish fees for such matters;and WHEREAS,in order to defray the costs of administration, notifications,legal pUblications,plan checking,staff time, hearing examiner time,secretary time,technical review and utilization of many other city resources in order to process applications,the city Council of the city of Marysville deems it to be in the best interests of the pUblic health,safety and general welfare to adopt a comprehensive schedule of planning, zoning and land use fees for the City as set forth below. NOW,THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE, WASHINGTON,DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: section 1 Purpose.There is hereby established a new chapter 19.54 of the Marysville Municipal Code entitled, "Planning,Zoning and Land Use Fees."The purpose of this chapter is to establish a comprehensive schedule of fees for various applications and permits authorized pursuant to Titles 18,19 and 20 of the Marysville Municipal Code.It is also the purpose of this chapter to consolidate the various fees for applications into one single ordinance and to provide for a schedule of fees which make it possible to locate and identify within one section of the City's Code the applicable fees for certain applications and permits.
