AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE ANNEXING CERTAIN
UNINCORPORATED AREA, FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES,CONSISTING OF
APPROXIMATELY 4.822 ACRES, INTO THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE.
WHEREAS,the City of Marysville desires to annex into the
City certain property owned by the City,generally located east
of the 100th Street road end and legally described as:
The East half of the Northeast quarter of the Northeast
quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 14,
Township 30 North,Range 5 East W.M.,Snohomish County,
Washington.
WHEREAS,said property is to be used for municipal purposes,
namely a 6 million gallon water reservoir and appurtenances;and
WHEREAS,RCW 35A.14.300 authorizes the City by majority vote
to annex new territory outside the City for municipal purposes
when such territory is owned by the City;and
WHEREAS,a duly-advertised public meeting was held before
the Marysville City Council on March 13,1995,and said Council
passed Resolution No.1729 stating the City's intention to annex
the property upon receipt of a favorable report from the
Snohomish County Boundary Review Board;and
WHEREAS,on March 31,1995,the Snohomish County Boundary
Review Board waived review and approved said annexation;NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.The above-described property,being situated in
the unincorporated area of Snohomish County,State of Washington,
and being owned by the City,and which will be used for municipal
purposes,be and the same is hereby annexed to and incorporated
into the City of Marysville.
Section 2.This ordinance shall become effective five (5)
days after the publication of this ordinance.
