AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE ANNEXING CERTAIN
UNINCORPORATED AREA KNOWN AS THE BARR (ET AL.1 PROPERTY INTO
THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE.
WHEREAS,the City of Marysville received a petition for
annexation of certain real property known as the Barr (et all
property,said petition having been signed or consented to by the
owners of not less than sixty percent (60%)of the assessed value
of said property;and
WHEREAS,a duly-advertised public hearing was held on said
petition before the Marysville City Council on June 3,1996,and
said Council passed Resolution No.1802 stating the City's
intention to annex the property upon receipt of a favorable
report from the Snohomish County Boundary Review Board;and
WHEREAS,on October 15,1996 and October 29,1996,a public
hearing was held before the Boundary Review Board for Snohomish
County;and
WHEREAS,on October 29,1996 the Boundary Review Board
approved a portion of said annexation as described in Exhibit A
attached hereto and entered findings and a decision under BRB
File No.15-96;NOW,THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.The property being described in Exhibit A,
situated in the unincorporated area of Snohomish County,State of
Washington,and being contiguous,proximate and adjacent to the
present corporate limits of the City of Marysville,be and the
same is hereby annexed to and incorporated into the City of
Marysville.
Section 2.The property described in Exhibit A shall
hereafter be assessed and taxed at the same rate and on the same
basis as other property within the City of Marysville,including
assessments or taxes in payment of all of the outstanding
indebtedness of the City contracted or incurred prior to,or
existing on,the effective date of this ordinance.
Section 3.The Comprehensive Plan for the City of
Marysville designating the above-described property in the
community commercial,medium density single-family,medium
density multi-family,and open space classifications,as depicted
on Exhibit B attached hereto,shall apply to said property,and

the RS-9600 zoning designation shall apply until amended to
conform with said comprehensive plan.
Section 4.This ordinance shall become effective on January
1,1997.

That portion of the W 1/2 of Section 21,Township 30 North,
Range 5 E, W. M.described as follows:
Beginning at the SW corner of the N 1/2 of the SW 114 of said
Section 21,which is the NW corner of the Marysville City Limits
as annexed under Ordinance No. 399;thence E'ly along the S
line of said subdivision,being also the north line of said
.Ordinance No. 399,to the E'ly margin of Burlington Northern
Railroad (formally known as the Great Northern Railroad);
thence N'lyalong said E'ly margin of the Burlington Northern
Railroad to the N line of said N 1/2 SW 1/4;thence W'ly along said
N line of said subdivision to the W'ly margin of said Burlington
Northern Railroad;thence N'ly along said W'ly margin of the
Burlington Northern Railroad a distance of 85 feet,more or less,
to the S'ly line of City of Marysville.Ordinance No. 1208,said
point also being the intersection of the E'ly extension of the N'ly
line of the certain property conveyed from Winklesky to
Faulkender by deed recorded under Snohomish County
Auditor's File No.7709080135;thence W'ly along said E'ly
extension and the N'ly line of said Faulkender tract,also being
said S'ly line of the City of Marysville Ordinance No. 1208, to the
E line of the SW 1/4 NW 1/4 Section 21;thence S'ly along the E
line of said subdivision a distance of 84.92 feet to the SE corner
of said subdivision;thence W'ly along the south line of said
subdivision to the centerline of Quilceda Creek;thence N'ly
along said centerline of Quilceda Creek,being also the W'ly line
of City of Marysville Ordinance No. 745,to the E line of said SW
114NW 1/4;thence N'ly along said E line of said subdivision to
the S margin of 88th Street N.E.(also known as the Grannis
Road);thence W along said S margin of 88th Street N.E. to the
W margin of 35th Avenue N.E.which is also the E'ly margin of
said SR-5;thence S'ly along the E'ly margin of said SR-5 to the
POINT OF BEGINNING.
