HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-2110 - Annexation (Special)CITY OF MARYSVILLE Marysville,Washington ORDINANCE NO.:211 0 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE ANNEXING CERTAIN UNINCORPORATED AREA KNOWN AS THE BARR (ET AL.1 PROPERTY INTO THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE. WHEREAS,the City of Marysville received a petition for annexation of certain real property known as the Barr (et all property,said petition having been signed or consented to by the owners of not less than sixty percent (60%)of the assessed value of said property;and WHEREAS,a duly-advertised public hearing was held on said petition before the Marysville City Council on June 3,1996,and said Council passed Resolution No.1802 stating the City's intention to annex the property upon receipt of a favorable report from the Snohomish County Boundary Review Board;and WHEREAS,on October 15,1996 and October 29,1996,a public hearing was held before the Boundary Review Board for Snohomish County;and WHEREAS,on October 29,1996 the Boundary Review Board approved a portion of said annexation as described in Exhibit A attached hereto and entered findings and a decision under BRB File No.15-96;NOW,THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1.The property being described in Exhibit A, situated in the unincorporated area of Snohomish County,State of Washington,and being contiguous,proximate and adjacent to the present corporate limits of the City of Marysville,be and the same is hereby annexed to and incorporated into the City of Marysville. Section 2.The property described in Exhibit A shall hereafter be assessed and taxed at the same rate and on the same basis as other property within the City of Marysville,including assessments or taxes in payment of all of the outstanding indebtedness of the City contracted or incurred prior to,or existing on,the effective date of this ordinance. Section 3.The Comprehensive Plan for the City of Marysville designating the above-described property in the community commercial,medium density single-family,medium density multi-family,and open space classifications,as depicted on Exhibit B attached hereto,shall apply to said property,and ORDINANCE - 1 the RS-9600 zoning designation shall apply until amended to conform with said comprehensive plan. Section 4.This ordinance shall become effective on January 1,1997. ~PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by the Mayor this I~~day of December,1996.
