HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-2179 - Amends Sec. 3.51.020 and 3.51.030, petty cash fund (3.51)CITY OF MARYSVILLE Marysville,Washington ORDINANCE NO.2171 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON AMENDING MMC 3.51.020AND MMC 3.51.030PERTAINING TO PETTY CASH FUND DISTRIBUTION BY ADDING NEW SUBSECTIONS RELATING TO ESTABLISHMENT OF A PETTY CASH FUND FOR THE KEN BAXTER COMMUNITY CENTER AND DESIGNATING A CUSTODIAN FOR SAID FUND. /-A.-A· 1-Cu-~Q...A. l-rP~V~ /~~ WHEREAS,the City of Marysville has established the Ken Baxter Senior/Community Center,which hosts numerous events and conducts business with the general public and,as such, is in need of a separate petty cash fund; NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1.MMC 3.51.020,which reads as follows: 3.51.020 Petty Cash Fund Distribution.The petty cash fund herein established shall be distributed as follows: (1)Three hundred dollars shall be used by the City's Municipal Court as a change fund (2)Two hundred dollars shall be used by the City's Park and Recreation Department,one hundred dollars as a change fund and one hundred dollars as a petty cash fund. (3)Three hundred dollars shall be used by the City's Finance Department as a change fund. (4)Two hundred fifty dollars shall be used by the City's Finance Department as a petty cash fund. (5)Seventy-five dollars shall be used by the City's Police Department as a twenty five dollar change fund and a fifty dollar petty cash fund. The custodians of the petty cash fund herein established shall be as follows: (1)The city's court administrator is designated as the custodian of the municipal court change fund. (2)The city's park and recreation director is designated as the custodian of the park and recreation change fund. (3)The finance director is designated as the custodian of the finance department change and petty cash fund. (4)The police chief is designated as the custodian of the police department change and petty cash fund. (5)The librarian is designated as the custodian of the library change fund. (6)The public works director is designated as the custodian of the public works petty cash fund. (7)The city planner is designated as the custodian of the planning department petty cash fund. is hereby amended to read as follows: 3.51.030 Petty cash fund custodians. The custodians of the petty cash fund herein established shall be as follows: (1)The city's court administrator is designated as the custodian of the municipal court change fund. (2)The city's park and recreation director is designated as the custodian of the park and recreation change fund and the Ken Baxter Senior/Community Center change fund and petty cash fund. (3)The finance director is designated as the custodian of the finance department change and petty cash fund.
