ORDINANCE NO.2555
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE ESTABLISHING
A NEW CHAPTER 15.12 OF THE MARYSVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE
RELATING TO DEVELOPMENT FEES; AND REPEALING MMC
19.60.020.
WHEREAS,the City periodically reviews and amends its development fees to ensure
recovery of the majority of its costs related to construction and development services;
WHEREAS,the City in reviewing the proposed fee structure, analyzed time and
expenses relating to development review and services, and recommends that the full costs of
service, including labor, non-labor, and departmental overhead be recovered from
development applications;
WHEREAS,following a comprehensive review ofthe development fees by City staff,
recommendations for fee revisions are hereby found to be just and reasonably related to the
actual cost of services provided;
NOW,THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,
WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section l'A new Chapter 15.12 of the Marysville Municipal Code is herby adopted
which shall read as follows:
15.12.010 General fee structure.
The Community Development department is authorized to charge and collect the

Section 2:MMC 19.60.020 is hereby repealed for the reason it is replaced by this ordinance.
Section 3' Effective Date. This ordinance and the fees set forth herein shall be effective
January I, 2004.
Section 4' Severability.If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this
ordinance should be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction,
such invalidity or unconstitutionality thereof shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of
any other section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this ordinance.
