WHEREAS,the Cityof Marysville received a petition for annexation ofthe property described in Exhibit A attached hereto,said petition having been signed or consented to bythe owners ofthe not less thansixtypercent (60%)ofthe assessed value ofsaid property;and WHEREAS,the 60%annexation petition hasbeen reviewed bythe Snohomish County Assessor's Office for sufficiency as required by law andon March 28,2005 the Assessor's Office issued it Certificate of Sufficiency;and .-. WHEREAS,a duly-advertised public hearing was held on said petition before the Marysville CityCouncil onJune27,2005 and said Council passed Resolution No.2147 stating the City's intention to annexthe propertyupon receipt ofa favorable decision or reportfromthe Washington State Boundary Review Board for Snohomish County;and WHEREAS,on August 29,2005,the Board Chairforthe Washington State Boundary Review Board for Snohomish County waived review of theproposed annexation pursuant to RCW 36.93.110;NOW,TIlEREFORE, TIlE OTY COUNOL OF TIlE OTY OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1.The property described in attached Exhibit A,being situated inthe unincorporated areaof Snohomish County,State of Washington,and being contiguous,proximate and adjacent to the present corporate limits of the Cityof Marysville,beandthe same is hereby annexed to and incorporated intothe Cityof Marysville. Section 2. Theproperty described in attached Exhibit A shall hereafter be assessed and taxed atthe same rateandon the same basis asotherpropertywithin the Cityof Marysville, including assessments or taxes in payment of all ofthe outstanding indebtedness ofthe City contracted or incurred priorto,or existing on,the effective date ofthis ordinance. Section 3. The Comprehensive Planforthe Cityof Marysville designating the property, described in Exhibit A,intheHighDensitySingle-family classification shall applyto saidproperty andthe property shall beand is herebyzoned R-6.5. The City's official zoning map shall be amended to be consistent withsaid zoning. Section 4.EFFECTIVE DATE. The effective date ofthis ordinance shall beNovember1, 2005.
