An Ordinance of the City of Marysville levying regular taxes upon all property
real, personal and utility subject to taxation within the corporate limits of the City
of Marysville,Washington for the year 2007.
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Marysville has met and considered its
budget for the calendar year 2007; and
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Marysville after hearing and after duly
considering all relevant evidence and testimony presented,determined that the City of
Marysville requires a regular levy as a direct result of voter passed 2007 Proposition I,
which includes an increase in property tax revenue from the previous year, and
amounts resulting from the addition of new construction and improvements to property
and any increase in the value of state-assessed property, and amounts authorized by
law as a result of any annexations the have occurred and refunds made, in order to
discharge the expected expenses and obligations of the City and in its best interest;
now, therefore,
The City Council of the City of Marysville do Ordain as follows: An increase in the
regular property tax levy is hereby authorized for the 2007 levy as a direct result of the
voter approved 2007 Proposition I, which reset the regular property tax levy to $2.22 per
$1,000 of assessed valuation.
This increase is exclusive of additional revenue resulting from the addition of new
construction and improvements to property and any increase in the value of state

assessed property, and any additional amounts resulting from any annexations that
have occurred and refunds made.
For the year 2007, the amount of taxes to be levied, in addition to regular property tax,
for payment of debt service on the City's Unlimited Tax General Obligation bonds, 1986,
which were refunded in 1996, is $228,803.
