AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE AMENDING ORDINANCE 2733
RELATING TO SECTION 2.50.060 OF TilE MARYSVILLE MLNICIPAL CODE.
\VHEREAS,the City is authorized under RCW 42.24 to provide for payment of
expenses,material,purchases,and advancements.
WHEREAS,the City wishes to update the travel reimbursement policy to reflect the
United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS)guidelines.
WHEREAS,the City wishes 10 provide a transition period,
NOW,THEREFORE,TIlE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,
WASlIlNCnON,DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOW'S:
SECTION l.MMC 2.50.060 (2). is hereby amended to read as follows:
No payment shall be made for the expenditures described under this section unless the
employee incurring the same submits receipts of verification.With respect to meal
reimbursement.prior June 30. 2008 reimbursement may be made by submitting receipts
of verification or lor receipts nol submitted reimbursement will not exceed the United
States Internal Revenue Service allowance rate.On and after July I.2008 reimbursement
for meals and inc idcntal s (M&l)wi II be a1 the per diem for M&]as approved by the
United States Internal Revenue Service allowance rate.
