AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE, WASHINGTON
AMENDING MARYSVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE SUBSECTIONS 2.51.040 (I)
AND (2) RELATING TO THE DUTIES OF THE SALARY COMMISSION.
THE CITY COUNCIL LOF THE CITY OF MAYRSVILLE, WASHINGTON DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. MMC 2.51.040( I) is hereby amended to read as follows:
2.51.040 Duties;
"( I) The commission shall have the duty to meet annually between July 1 and September
31 commencing the year 2011; to review the salaries paid by the city to each elected city
official. If after such review the commission determines that the salary paid to any
elected city official should be increased or decreased, the commission shall file a written
salary schedule with the city clerk indicating the increase or decrease in salary and the
effective date."
Section 2. MMC 2.51.040(2) is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(2) Any increase or decrease in salary established by the commission shall become effective and
incorporated into the city budget without further action of the city councilor Salary Commission.
Any change in the meeting reimbursement or salary amount may become effective immediately
or as otherwise directed by the Salary Commission"
