RESOLUTION NO.ill RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE CONCERNING APPLICATION TO INTERAGENCY COMMITTEE FOR OUTDOOR RECREATION FOR FUND ASSISTANCE'IN ACQUIRING LAND ,f I.,.. 1 ~'t' ~,~. approved WHEREAS,-the City Council of the City of Marysville has f ".J •/\,.... a Comprehensive Park and Recreation Plan for the Urban ,,'w,'.. area which identifies a community part as Jennings Park in the Northeastern part of the CitY-:~Num~e~On\priority;and ,.' WHEREAS,under the provisions of the Marine Recreation ,.~ Land Act,and the $40 ,000 ,000 Outdoor Recreation Bond Issue of 1968,state and federal funding assistance has been authorized and made available to aid in financing the cost of land for parks and the construction of outdoor recreational facilities of local public bodies;and WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Marysville considers it in the best public interest to acquire an adjoining 7.4+acres of land in the Northeastern part of the City generally located South of Jennings Park East of Armar Road,and bordering on the Eastern city limits, NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Marysville,Washington as follows: 1.That the Mayor be authorized to make formal application to the Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation for funds assis- tance. 2.That any fund assistance so received be used in the acquisiton of 7.4+acres of land in the Northeastern part of the City of Marysville,Washington. • 3.That any property acquired with financial aid through the Interagency Committee 'for Outdoor Recreation be placed in use as an outdoor recreation facility and be retained in such use in perpetuity unless as otherwise provided and agreed to by the City Council,the Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation,and any affected Federal agency. 4.That this Resolution shall become part of a formal application to the Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation.
