A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE GRANTING A
VARIANCE TO ALLOW A WATER CONNECTION TO PROPERTY
WHICH IS NOT CONNECTED TO CITY SEWER SERVICE
WHEREAS,ZOE HALLGREN is the owner of'certain property
located at 7711 -59th Avenue N.E.,Marysville,Washington;and
WHEP~S,said property is located outside of the CITY OF
MARYSVILLE,but wi thin·the Utility Service Area;.and..
liHEREAS,the owner of said property has requested a connec-
tion to the City water system but not to the City sewer system,said
request being in violation of Section l4.04.062(a)of the Marysville
Municipal Code unless'a variance is granted by the City'Council;'and
WHEREAS,a public meeting was held on the owner's applica-
tion for a variance on February.22,1982,and the City Council entered
the following Findings of Fact:
1.The subject property is located adjacent to a City water
main on 59th Avenue N.E.
2.The private water supply on the subject property has
failed or is nonexistent,and it is in the interest of public health,
safety and welfare to connect this property to public water.
3.Only one.residence exists,or will exist,on the prop-
erty,and there are no plans to subdivide or otherwise develop.the
property in any further manner.
4.The closest public sewer main is located approximately
.5,000 feet from the.property and it is not practical to require this
property.owner to extend it that great of a distance ror a single
residential hookup.
5.All criteria for granting a,variance,as provided in
Section 14.04.062(b)have been met.
Based upon the foregoing Findings of Fact,the City Council
of the CITY OF MARYSVILLE,Washington,hereby RESOLVES as follows:

Pursuant to Sec<tion 14 ..04<,,062 (b)of<the l-tarysvi.lle -J-tunicipal
Code,the variance 'application referred ,to above is hereby GRANTED,
and City water utilities shall be made available to the subject prop-
erty .for one res'idential connection only."This variance shall become
n~ll and void unless .within one year of the date of this Resolution
the water connection.has been completed.Water service to the sub-
ject property shall be conditioned upon payment of all fees.and charges
and compliance with all terms and conditions specified'by the City
Water Code.
