Home My WebLink AboutR-1061 - Granting a variance for utility connections to residential property located outside of the RUSA area-~~,\:, J...)...~".xc; CIT Y 0 F MAR Y S V ILL E Marysville Washington RESOLUTION NO./Oral A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE GRANTING A VARIANCE FOR UTILITY CONNECTIONS TO RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY LOCATED OUTSIDE OF THE RUSA AREA WHEREAS,Vaughn A.Angel is the owner of certain property located at 1202 -153rd Place N.E.,Arlington,Washington,being legally described in Attachment A;and WHEREAS,the development of said property proposed one connection to the City water service for residential use;and WHEREAS,the subject property is located outside of the Rural Utility Service Area of the City of Marysville;and WHEREAS,pursuant to Ordinance No.1242,utility services must be denied to a development of this nature unless a variance is issued therefore;and WHEREAS,the owner of the sUbject property applied for a variance and a public meeting was held thereon on June 28,1982, and the City Council entered the following Findings of Fact: ••1.The applicant has obtained.vested rights to water utility service for the sUbject property by virture of a written representation by City officials in 1968 that water would be avail- able,and by the City's consistent1policy of adhering to said rep- resentation with respect to all abutting p,:r:op:rities~.,':,I," 'P,j j 2.The subject property is too small t~legally accom- modate a well and an on-site sewage disposal _system._Public water is necessary for the development of thi~-~ot;I :.-I 3.The granting of water service to this lot will not be detrimental to the public interest,welfare or the environment and would not be inconsistent with the long-range plans of th~ Marysville utility system.
