A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE CALLING FOR
A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE VACATION OF A PUBLIC ALLEY
WHEREAS,on January 26,1984,Mr.and Mrs.LARRY HUSBY,
DIANA P.BARSTAD,and PHYLLIS SPRAGUE submitted a petition to the
City of Marysville requesting the vacation of a 16-foot-wide,
unimproved public alley separating Lots 5 (in part),6,7 8 and
9 from Lots 10, 11, 12,13 and 14 (in part),Block 9,Auburys
First Addition to Marysville,according to the plat thereof
recorded in Volume 2 of Plats,page 77,records of Snohomish
County Auditor;and
WHEREAS,on February 14,1984,the City Council received
said petition together with the recommendations of the City staff
with respect thereto,and determined that it should be set for
public hearing pursuant to Chapter 12.32 of the Marysville Muncipal
Code;NOW,THEREFORE,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON,AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.A public hearing for the vacation of the
above-descr~bed alley is hereby set for March 26,1984,at 7:30 p.m.
in the chambers of the Marysville City Council,4822 -72nd Street
N.E.,Marysville,Washington.Twenty (20)days written notice of
said public hearing shall be given by posting the same in three (3)
public places in the City and by posting the same in a conspicuous
place on the subject alley.
Section 2.If it is ultimately determined by the City
Council that the subject alley shall be vacated,it is the inten-
tion of the City Council to waive any request for compensation from
the abutting property owners because said alley constitutes an
abandoned pUblic right-of-way as defined in RCW 36.87.090.
ADOPTED ~he City Council and APPROVED by the Mayor
