".'.t~..... ~)i •., CITY OF MARYSVILLE MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO.J ICf1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON, RELATING TO A PROPOSED ANNEXATION;TRANSMITTING SAID PROPOSAL TO THE SNOHOMISH COUNTY BOUNDARY REVIEW BOARD;AND CALLING FOR AN ELECTION BY THE VOTERS WITHIN THE ANNEXATION TERRITORY. The City Council of the City of Marysville,Washington, hereby resolves as follows: 1.Annexation Proposal.At a pUblic meeting held by the City Council on May 28,1985 a proposal was presented and considered relating to the annexation of certain unincorporated territory contiguous to the city limits,the legal description of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by this reference.The City Council considered said proposal at a series of public hearings,and based upon the pUblic testimony received and the recommendations and reports of the City staff, the City Council hereby finds that the proposed annexation would serve the best interests and general welfare of the City and of the residents within the annexation territory. 2.Boundary Review Board Hearing.A certified copy of this Resolution shall be immediately filed with the Snohomish County Boundary Review Board,and said Board is directed to immediately hold a public hearing on the proposed annexation.The written decision of the Boundary Review Board shall be filed with the Snohomish County Council and the Marysville City Council,as required by law. 3.Election.If the decision of the Boundary Review Board is favorable to the annexation proposal,or if the Boundary Review Board approves a modified annexation proposal,an election shall be held by the voters within the proposed annexation territory to approve or disapprove the annexation.There are 6,897 registered voters residing within the proposed annexation territory.The City will pay the cost of the annexation election. zLPASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by the Mayor this '27 day Of-JAJl)kll!l~'1-'1986. ., CITY OF MARYSVILLE.s:»: 1 .'~-..
