The City hereby states its intention to exempt that portion
of First Street lying between State Avenue and Cedar Avenue
from any parking zone restrictions on the north side of said
street which might be hereafter enacted pursuant to Section
11.16.010 of the Marysville Municipal Code.
WHEREAS,the City is anxious to support the viability of its
waterfront industries,and it is in the public interest to provide safe
and convenient employee parking for said industries;and
WHERE1,S,the proposed dcwntown redevelopment project involving the
construction of a retail shopping mall between 1st Street and 4th Street
has necessitated the private acquisition of property previously used by
waterfront industries for employee parking;and

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE EXEMPTING A
PORTION OF FIRST STREET FROM PARKING RESTRICTIONS
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Marysville,
Washington as follows:

Marysville,Washington
WHEREAS,First Street,between State Avenue and Cedar Avenue,
functions primarily as access to the waterfront industries and is
not directly related to retail trade;NOW,THEREFORE,
