A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of Marysville,
Washington,declaring its intention to order the improvement of a
portion of 64th Street Northeast and to create a local improvement
district to assess the cost and expense of carrying out such improve-
ments against the properties specially benefited thereby,and notify-
ing all persons who desire to object to the improvements to appear and
present their objections at a hearing before the City Council to be
held on December 7,1987.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON,
as follows:
Section 1.It is the intention of the City Council of the City of
Marysville,Washington,to order the improvement of the properties within the
area described in Exhibit A,attached hereto and by this reference made a part
hereof,by the reconstruction of the roadway to a 56-foot width,installation of
concrete curbs and gutters,a five-foot concrete sidewalk on both sides of the
road and a storm drainage system,right-of-way acquisition,and illumination on
64th Street NE from approximately 150 feet west of 53rd Avenue NE (Clayton
Street)to approximately 200 feet east of 67th Avenue NE.
All of the foregoing improvements shall be in accordance with the plans and
specifications therefor prepared by Hammond,Coll ier &Wade - Livingstone
Associates,Inc.,consulting engineers of the City,and may be modified by the
City as long as such modification does not affect the purpose of the improve-
ment.
Section 2.The total estimated cost and expense of the improvements is
declared to be $1,050,000, of which approximately $100,000 is proposed to be
paid by the City as the estimated cost of a fifth lane and $950,000 is to be
borne by and assessed against the property specially benefited by such improve-
ments to be included in a local improvement district to be established embracing
as nearly as practicable all the property specially benefited by the improve-
ments.
Section 3. All persons who may desire to object to the improvements
described herein are notified to appear and present such objections at a hearing
before the City Council to be held in the Marysville City Library,4820 72nd
Street Northwest (Grove)in Marysville,Washington,at 7:30 p.m.,on December 7,
1987,which time and place are fixed for hearing all matters relating to the
proposed improvements and all objections thereto and for determining the method
of payment for those improvements.All persons who may desire to object thereto
should appear and present their objections at such hearing.Any person who may

desire to file a written protest with the City Council may do so within thirty
days after the date of passage of the ordinance ordering the improvement in the
event the local improvement district is formed.Such written protest should be
signed by the property owner and should include the legal description of the
property for which the protest is filed and such protest should be delivered to
the City Clerk.
Section 4.The City Clerk is directed to give notice of such hearing by
publication of this resolution of intention in at least two consecutive issues
of the official newspaper of the City,or,if there is no official newspaper,in
a newspaper of general circulation in the City,with the date of first publi-
cation to be at least fifteen days prior to the date of such hearing;and to
mail a notice of such hearing to the owners or reputed owners of property in the
proposed assessment district,as shown on the tax rolls of the County Assessor
at the address shown thereon,at least fifteen days prior to such hearing.The
notice shall set forth the nature of the proposed improvement,the total
estimated cost,the portion of the total cost to be borne by the assessments,
the estimated amount of the cost and expense of such improvement to be borne by
the particular lot,tract or parcel and the date and place of the hearing.
Section 5.Hammond,Collier &Wade -Livingstone Associates,Inc.is
directed to submit to the City Council on or prior to December 7,1987,all data
and information required by law to be submitted.
The foregoing resolution was ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Marysville,Washington,at a regular open public meeting thereof this 2nd day of
November 1987.

The estimated benefits and the estimated amount of the assessment which is

The total estimated cost of said improvement is approximately $1,050,000, of
which approximately $100,000 is proposed to be paid by the City as the cost of a
fifth lane,and $950,000 to be borne by assessments against the property within
the District specially benefitted by said improvement.
A public hearing for the purposes of determining whether to proceed with the
proposed improvements and considering the preliminary assessment roll will be
held before the City Council in the Marysville City Library,4820 -72nd Street
N.E.(Grove)at 7:30 p.m.,P.S.T.,on December 7,1987.
Any person who may desire to file a written protest with the City Clerk should
show on such protest the lot and block or other description of the property.
Written objections should be filed with the City Clerk within thirty days of the
date of passage of the ordinance ordering the improvement in the event the local
improvement district is formed.

right-of-way acquisition,and illumination on 64th Street N.E.from approxi-
mately 150 feet west of 53rd Avenue N.E.(Clayton Street)to approximately 200
feet east of 67th Avenue N.E.,all as more particularly described in Resolution
No.'t:8~,approved and passed by the City Council of the City of Marysville on
Novem er ,1987.
