RESOLUTION NO.I 307
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MARYSVILLE HONORING CLIFFORD S.GRAY
WHEREAS,Clifford S.Gray was hired by the City of Marys-
ville on January 1,1974 as Park Foreman;and
WHEREAS,on July 1,1984 Cliff was promoted to the position
of Parks and Recreation Superintendent where his responsibilities
included management,operation,maintenance and improvement of
all public parks,facilities,recreational programs and Cedar-
crest Municipal Golf Course;and
WHEREAS,Cliff has announced his retirement from City
employment and it is appropriate for the City to formally
recognize and honor his years of dedicated service;NOW,THERE-
FORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYS-
VILLE,WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS:
The City of Marysville hereby expresses its gratitude to
Cliff Gray for his dedicated public service.As the Superinten-
dent of the Parks and Recreation Department he has guided the
City's park program through unprecedented growth and development.
He was instrumental in the establishment of a petting farm,a
fitness course,a trail system and an experimental garden.
Moreover,he was instrumental in improving the efficiency and
effectiveness of management and personnel practices and equipment
maintenance at the Cedarcrest Golf Course.
The City is grateful to Cliff for his lasting contributions
to the quality of life in the Marysville community.We wish him
happiness and success in his post-retirement pursuits.
