A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE ACCEPTING A
PETITION FOR THE SCHMELTZER ANNEXATION AND FIXING A
DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING THEREON.
WHEREAS,on July 25,1988 the City of Marysville received a
petition from Ted Schmeltzer for the annexation of certain
property located east of 67th Avenue N.E.at the intersection
with 6lst Place N.E.,said property being legally described as
follows:
Lots 1 through 10,Graafstra's Plat,Snohomish County,
Washington.
6lst Place N.E.
That portion of the South half of the South half of the
Southwest quarter of Section 26,Township 30 North,
Range 5 East,W.M.,Snohomish County,Washington,
described as follows:Beginning at the Southwest
corner of said subdivision,thence North along the
Section line 457.5 feet,thence North 89°16'48"East
for 962.75 feet,thence South 0°31'41"West for 447.64
feet to the South line of said Section,thence Westerly
to the true point of beginning.
The North half of the Northwest quarter,Section 35,
Township 30 North,Range 5 East,W.M.,Snohomish
County,Washington.
All abutting portions of 67th Avenue N.E.for the full
width of said street.
WHEREAS,the petition was signed by the owners of 80%of the
assessed value of said property;and
WHEREAS,on July 25,1988 the City Council agreed that the
annexation proposal would be given formal consideration on the
following terms:
a.If the annexation is ultimately approved the City will
require the subject property to assume its proportionate share of
the existing City indebtedness.
b.If the annexation is ultimately approved the City will
simultaneously adopt a Comprehensive Plan for the subject
property which'will classify that portion west of the subdivision

line which is an extension of 7lst Avenue N.E.in the Residential
9600 classification,and will classify that portion which is east
of said subdivision line in the Residential 12,500 classifica-
tion.
c.This annexation shall not affect the obligation of
Snohomish County to complete construction of storm water reten-
tion facilities on Tax Lots 2-016 and 3-020.NOW,THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYS-
VILLE,WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS:
A public hearing pefore the Marysville City Council is
hereby scheduled for A",-~l"s+-~:J ,1988 at 8:00 p.m.at the
Marysville City Council chambers,1635 Grove Street,Marysville,
Washington.At said public hearing the City Council shall
determine whether the proposed annexation is in the public
interest and whether the same should be referred to the Snohomish
County Boundary Review Board.Notice of the public hearing shall
be published and posted as required by RCW 35A.14.130.
