A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE STATING ITS
INTENTION TO ANNEX THE SCHMELZER PROPERTY INTO THE CITY
AND TRANSMITTING THE MATTER TO THE SNOHOMISH COUNTY
BOUNDARY REVIEW BOARD FOR APPROVAL.
WHEREAS,on July 25,1988 the City of Marysville received a
petition for annexation of the following-described property,said
petition having been signed by the owners of 80%of the assessed
value of said property:
Lots 1 through 10,Graafstra's Plat,Snohomish County,
Washington.
61st Place N.E.
That portion of the South half of the South half of the
Southwest quarter of Section 26,Township 30 North,
Range 5 East,W.M.,Snohomish County,Washington,
described as follows:Beginning at the Southwest
corner of said subdivision,thence North along the
Section line 457.5 feet,thence North 89°16'48"East
for 962.75 feet,thence South 0°31'41"West for 447.64
feet to the South line of said Section,thence Westerly
to the true point of beginning.
The North half of the Northwest quarter,Section 35,
Township 30 North,Range 5 East,W.M.,Snohomish
County,Washington.
WHEREAS,a duly advertised public hearing was held on said
petition before the Marysville City Council on August 22,1988
and said City Council was fully advised in the premises;NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYS-
VILLE,WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.The above-described property is hereby approved
for annexation into the City of Marysville and shall be so
annexed by ordinance of the City immediately upon receipt of a
favorable report from the Snohomish County Boundary Review Board.
Section 2.Upon annexation of the above-described property,
it shall be assessed and taxed at the same rate and on the same
basis as other property within the City of Marysville,including
assessments for taxes and payment of all the outstanding indeb-

tedness of the City contracted or incurred prior to or existing
at the date of annexation.
Section 3.Upon annexation of the above-described property
the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Marysville shall be
supplemented to designate that portion of the property located
west of the subdivision line which is an extension of 71st Avenue
N.E.in the Residential 9600 classification,and to designate
that portion of the property which is located east of said
subdivision line in the Residential 12,500 classification.
Section 4.Prior to annexation the property owner,the
City,and Snohomish County Department of Public Works shall
negotiate a written agreement regarding construction of storm
water retention facilities at Sites Hand H-1 in Drainage Basin
5,as designated in the Southeast Marysville Regional Surface
Water Management Program dated July 7,1981.
Section 5.The City Attorney is hereby authorized to
transit all files on this annexation proceeding to the Snohomish
County Boundary Review Board for consideration;provided,that
the property owner shall be responsible for any and all costs
incurred in this proceeding.
PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by the Mayor this
