HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-1373 - Stating its intention to annex the Bertilson property into the city and transmitting the matter to the Snohomish County Boundary Review Board for appr" CIT Y 0 F MAR Y S V ILL E Marysville,Washington RESOLUTION NO./31,3 AN RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE STATING ITS INTENTION TO ANNEX THE BERTILSON PROPERTY INTO THE CITY AND TRANSMITTING THE MATTER TO THE SNOHOMISH COUNTY BOUNDARY REVIEW BOARD FOR APPROVAL. WHEREAS,on July 24,1989 the city of Marysville received a petition from Robert Adams for the annexation of certain property located between 64th Street N.E.and Sunnyside Boulevard,said property being legally described in EXHIBIT A attached hereto;and WHEREAS,a duly-advertised public hearing was held on said petition before the Marysville City Council on August 14,1989, and said City Council was fully advised in the premises;NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS: Section 1.The above-described property is hereby approved for annexation into the City of Marysville and shall be so annexed by ordinance of the City immediately upon receipt of a favorable report from the Snohomish County Boundary Review Board. section 2.Upon annexation of the above-described property, it shall be assessed and taxed at the same rate and on the same basis as other property within the City of Marysville,including assessments or taxes for the payment of its pro rata share of all outstanding indebtedness of the city contracted or incurred prior to,or existing on,the effective date of the annexation. Section 3.Upon annexation of the above-described property, the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Marysville heretofore prepared for said property,designating it in the Single-Family Residential classification,shall become the official adopted Comprehensive Plan for said property. Section 4.The City Attorney is hereby authorized to transmit all files on this annexation proceeding to the Snohomish County Boundary Review Board for consideration;provided,that the property owner shall be responsible for any and all costs incurred in this proceeding.
