A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE ESTABLISHING A
PUBLIC HEARING DATE FOR VACATION OF THAT PORTION OF 6TH
STREET N.E.EXTENDING BETWEEN BURLINGTON-NORTHERN
RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY AND CEDAR AVENUE.
WHEREAS,Weiser Cedar Sales,Inc.submitted a Petition to
the city of Marysville requesting vacation of that portion of 6th
Street N.E.extending between Burlington-Northern Railroad right-
of-way and Cedar Avenue N.E.;and
WHEREAS,said Petition was considered at a public meeting on
December 11,1989 and the city Council determined that it would
be in the public interest to schedule a pUblic hearing on the
vacation;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS:
A pUblic hearing is hereby established for the vacation of
the above-described portion of 6th Street N.E.on February 5,
1990 at 8:00 p.m.before the Marysville city council,1635 Grove
Street,Marysville,Washington.Notice of said pUblic hearing
shall be given pursuant to section 12.32.030 of the Marysville
Municipal Code.
If the City Council decides to vacate the above-described
street,title to the same shall be vested in weiser Cedar Sales,
Inc.,the abutting property owner to the north and south.
A condition of said vacation shall be that Weiser Cedar
Sales,Inc.first pay the City 50 percent of the appraised value
of the street.
