HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-1423 - Stating its intention to annex the Firstmark Corporation property into the city and transmitting the matter to the Snohomish County Boundary Review BoCIT Y 0 F MAR Y S V ILL E Marysville,Washington RESOLUTION NO.I Lp.3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE STATING ITS INTENTION TO ANNEX THE FIRSTMARK CORPORATION PROPERTY INTO THE CITY AND TRANSMITTING THE MATTER TO THE SNOHOMISH COUNTY BOUNDARY REVIEW BOARD FOR APPROVAL. WHEREAS,on March 13,1990,the city of Marysville received a Petition for the annexation of 39.58 acres of property located on the west side of 67th Avenue Northeast between the plat of Cedar Crest Manor and the mobile home park known as Cedar Crest Villas,said property being legally described in EXHIBIT A attached hereto;and WHEREAS,a duly advertised public hearing was held on said Petition before the Marysville City Council on April 23,1990, and said city Council was fully advised in the premises; NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS: section 1.The above-described property is hereby approved for annexation into the City of Marysville and shall be so annexed by ordinance of the City immediately upon receipt of a favorable report from the Snohomish county Boundary Review Board. section 2.Upon annexation of the above-described property, it shall be assessed and taxed at the same rate and on the same basis as other property within the City of Marysville,including assessments or taxes for the payment of its pro rata share of all outstanding indebtedness of the City contracted or incurred prior to,or existing on,the effective date of the annexation. section 3.Upon annexation of the above-described property, the City will simultaneously adopt the following comprehensive plan designations for the same: Single Family Residential 12,500 for that portion of the property located north of Munson Creek. Single Family Residential 9600 for that portion of the property located south of Munson Creek. Section 4.As a condition of the annexation,the city shall require the property owners to sign a covenant not to protest the Resolution - 1 formation of an LID for the improvement of 67th Avenue Northeast along the abutting frontage of the sUbject property. Section 5.The City Attorney is hereby authorized to transmit all files on this annexation proceeding to the Snohomish County Boundary Review Board for consideration;provided,that the property owners shall be responsible for any and all costs incurred in this proceeding.
