A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE HONORING
LEE CUNDIFF,COUNCILMEMBER.
WHEREAS,LEE CUNDIFF served the City of Marysville as
an elected member of the city Council from February 1982 through
December,1991;and
WHEREAS,the city gratefully acknowledges the benefits
which it has received from Councilmember Cundiff's dedication to
pUblic service,and desires to memorialize Councilmember
Cundiff's accomplishments by means of this Resolution;NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON,
hereby commends and honors Lee Cundiff for the following
outstanding achievements during his term of office:
1.Public Safety.Support and encouragement of the
efforts of the Police and Fire Departments in building
professionally-qualified,competent and efficient departments.
2.Public Facilities.Golf course maintenance shop,
remodel of the Lloyd Taubeneck Building,a new Public Safety
Center,City Hall space reorganization,and a new Park and
Recreation Facility.
3.Park &Recreation.continued dedication and support
of the Park and Recreation programs of the City of Marysville.
4.Public Streets and utilities.A wide range of public
street and utilities projects were undertaken during
councilmember Cundiff's years of dedication to the City of
Marysville.These include but are not limited to SR 528
Improvements,76th street N.E.Improvements,Wastewater Treatment
Facility Improvements,and the Water Transmission main from
Everett to Marysville.
5.Regional Programs.Development of regional consensus
regarding pUblic water supply and distribution,and establishment
of a Joint Operating Agreement between the Tulalip Tribes of
Washington and Snohomish County PUD.The merger of the Marysville
Fire Department and snohomish County Fire Protection District #12
will be a major step towards regionalism in the Marysville area.
6.Boards &Committees:Councilmember Cundiff has been
the city's representative to many boards and committees during
his tenure as Councilmember.These include Cable Franchise
Negotiating Committee,Liaison to Snohomish County Drug Task
Force,Public Safety Evaluation Committee,and Stillaguamish
Senior Citizen Center Board.

7.Financial Stability.Throughout a period of
increasing pressure on pUblic finances,Councilmember Cundiff has
assisted the City in maintaining sound fiscal policies which have
resulted in financial stability.
PASSED by the MAYOR and APPROVED by the CITY COUNCIL
this 9th day of December,1991.
