HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-1535 - Stating its intention to annex certain unincorporated area into the city known as the Forest Park Realty property and transmitting the matter to the SI .i.,• CIT Y 0 F MAR Y S V ILL E Marysville,washington RESOLUTION NO.1535 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE STATING ITS INTENTION TO ANNEX CERTAIN UNINCORPORATED AREA INTO THE CITY KNOWN AS THE FOREST PARI<REALTY PROPERTY AND TRANSMITTING THE MATTER TO THE SNOHOMISH COUNTY BOUNDARY REVIEW BOARD FOR APPROVAL. WHEREAS,the City of Marysville has received a petition for annexation of certain property located east of the existing City limits on the east side of 75th Avenue N.E.,said property being contiguous to the City limits and legally described in Exhibit A attached hereto;and WHEREAS,a duly-advertised pUblic hearing was held on said petition before the Marysville city Council on April 6,1992,and the City council heard testimony by the public,and was fully advised in the premises;NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS: Section 1.The property described in Exhibit A is hereby approved for annexation into the city of Marysville and shall be so annexed by ordinance of the city of Marysville upon receipt of a favorable decision/report from the Snohomish county Boundary Review Board. section 2.Upon annexation of the property described in EXhibit A,it shall be assessed and taxed at the same rate and on the same basis as other property within the city of Marysville, including assessments or taxes for the payment of its pro rata share of all outstanding indebtedness of the City contracted or incurred prior to,or existing on,the effective date of the annexation. section 3.Upon annexation of the property described in Exhibit A,the city's comprehensive plan designation and zoning shall apply to said property. Section 4.The city Attorney is hereby authorized to transmit a County assessor's map or other appropriate map and all files on this annexation proceeding to the Snohomish county Boundary Review Board for consideration and review.
