RESOLUTION NO'/1720
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE STATING ITS INTENTION TO
ANNEX CERTAIN UNINCORPORATED AREA, KNOWN AS THE ROSS/HILL
PROPERTY, INTO THE CITY,AND TRANSMITTING THE MATTER TO THE
SNOHOMISH COUNTY BOUNDARY REVIEW BOARD FOR APPROVAL.
WHEREAS,the City of Marysville has received a petition for
annexation of certain property generally located in the northeast
and southeast quadrants of 116th Street N.E.and State Avenue
(a/k/a Smokey Point Boulevard),said property being contiguous to
the city limits and legally described in Exhibit A attached
hereto;and
WHEREAS,a duly advertised public hearing was held on said
petition before the Marysville City Council on January 23,1995,
and the City Council heard testimony from staff,the applicant
and the public,and was fully advised in the premises;NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON,AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.The property described in Exhibit A is hereby
approved for annexation into the City of Marysville and shall be
so annexed by ordinance of the City of Marysville upon receipt of
a favorable decision/report from the Snohomish County Boundary
Review Board.
Section 2.Upon annexation of the property described in
Exhibit A,it shall be assessed and taxed at the same rate and on
the same basis as other property within the City of Marysville,
including assessments or taxes for the payment of its pro rata
share and all outstanding indebtedness of the City contracted or
incurred prior to or existing on the effective date of the
annexation.
Section 3.Upon annexation of the property described in
Exhibit A,the Marysville Interim Comprehensive Plan designation
of Community Commercial shall apply to said property.
Section 4.The City Planner is hereby authorized to
transmit a County Assessor's map,or other appropriate map,and
all files on this annexation proceeding to the Snohomish County
Boundary Review Board for consideration and review.

All that certain real property situate in the County of Snohomish,State of Washington,
being a portion ofthe Southeast quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 9,Township
30 North.Range 5 East,Willamette Meridian,and being more particularly described as
follows:
BEGINNING at a point which is 1111.5 feet South of the Northeast corner ofthe
Northwest quarter of said Section 9;thence from said POINT OF BEGINNING,Westerly
to a point that is 200 feet.East of the East line of the Pacific Highway (Smokey Point
Boulevard);thence Southeasterly,parallel with said East line.200 feet;thence West,
parallel with the South line ofthe Southeast quarter ofthe Northwest quarter of said
Section 9,100 feet the East line ofthe Pacific Highway;thence Southeasterly,along said
