HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-1880 - Regarding the establishment of 30-minute parking designations on 1st Street and the addition of a Handicap parking stall on 7th StreetCITY OF MARYSVILLE Marysville,Washington RESOLUTION NO.11[80 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE REGARDING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF 3D-MINUTE PARKING DESIGNATIONS ON 1ST STREET AND THE ADDITION OF A HANDICAP PARKING STALL ON 7TH STREET. WHEREAS,Marysville Municipal Code 11.16.010 authorizes the City Council to establish regulatory signs and zones for parking and use of the public right-of-way; and WHEREAS,the City's Traffic Safety Committee has reviewed the parking limitations on 1st Street and 7th Street and recommends that six parking stalls on 1st Street be designated as 30 minute parking and that a handicap parking stall be located on 7th Street. WHEREAS,the City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the citizens to limit parking to 30 minutes on portions of 1st Street and add a handicap stall on 7th Street; NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE, WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS: 1. The six 2-hour parking spaces on the north side of 1st Street between Cedar Avenue and State Avenue are designated to 3D-minute parking. 2. One (1) parking space on the south side of 7th Street west of Columbia Avenue in front of 1526 - 7th Street is designated as handicap parking. 3. All regulatory signs and street markings that are inconsistent with this resolution are hereby repealed. PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by the Mayor this 6th day of April, 1997.
