A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE AUTHORIZING APPLICATION (S)
FOR FUNDING ASSISTANCE THROUGH THE LAND WATER CONSERVATION
FUND (LWCF)TO THE INTERAGENCY COMMITIEE FOR OUTDOOR
RECREATION (lAC)AS PROVIDED IN STATE STATUTE CHAPTER 43.98 of the
Revised Code of Washington (RCW)
WHEREAS,The City of Marysville has approved a Comprehensive Park Plan
for the area that includes Strawberry Fields Athletic Park,and
WHEREAS,under the provisions of the Land Water Conservation Fund,
state and federal funding assistance has been requested to aid in
financing the cost of land and facilities for local public bodies;and
WHEREAS,the City of Marysville considers it in the best interest to develop
access and recreational opportunities on city owned property located on
152nd Street N.E.,Marysville,Washington;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MARYSVILLE OF WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Director of Parks and Recreation be authorized to make
formal application to lAC for funding assistance.
2. That any funding assistance received be used for the development of
the Strawberry Fields Athletic Park Project.
3. That the City of Marysville anticipates its share of project funding -MIl be
derived from REEl funds as well as community donations.
4. The City of Marysville acknowledges that they must support all non-
cash commitments to the local share should they not materialize.
5. The City of Marysville acknowledges that any property acquired or
facility developed with LWCF and lAC financial aid,must be placed in
use as an outdoor recreation facility or habitat conservation area
determined by a 6F Boundary map and be retained in such use in
perpetuity unless otherwise provided and agreed to by the City of
Marysville, lAC and any affected federal agency.

6. That this Resolution becomes a part of a formal application to the lAC.
7. That the City of Marysville has provided appropriate opportunity for
public comment on this project through numerous public meetings
and or public hearings relating to the City's Comprehensive Plan
