HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-2108 - Stating its intention to annex certain unincorporated area, known as the Gribble-Center Construction Annexation, into the city and transmitting the ma,..t!c.'brrn ,,(~ 1~6;/d CITY OF MARYSVILLE Marysville,Washington RESOLUTION NO.J.108 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE STATING ITS INTENTION TO ANNEX CERTAIN UNINCORPORATED AREA,KNOWN AS THE GRIBBLE- CENTER CONSTRUCTION ANNEXATION,INTO THE CITY, AND TRANSMITTING THE MATTER TO THE SNOHOMISH COUNTY BOUNDARY REVIEW BOARD FOR APPROVAL. WHEREAS,the City of Marysville has received a petition for annexation of certain property located on the southeast corner of the intersection of 84th Street NE and 47 th Avenue NE,said property being contiguous to the citylimits and legally described in Exhibit A attached hereto; and WHEREAS,on September 25, 2001 the Marysville Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider a prezone for the property described in Exhibit A and recommended approval of said prezone to High Density, Single-Familyestablishing the R-6.5 zoning classification for the annexation; and WHEREAS,a duly advertised public hearing was held on said annexation petition and prezone before the MaryvilleCity Council on November 5, 2001, and the City Council heard testimony from staff, the applicant and the public, and was fully advised in the premises; NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS: Section 1.The property legally described in Exhibit A and the boundaries depicted on the map attached as Exhibit B is hereby approved for annexation into the City of Marysvilleand shall be so annexed by ordinance of the City of Marysville upon receipt of a favorable decision/report from the Snohomish County Boundary ReviewBoard. Section 2.Upon annexation of the property described in Exhibit A,the City of Marysville Zoning and Comprehensive Plan designations shallapply. Section 3.Upon annexation of the property described in Exhibit A, it shall be assessed and taxed at the same rate and on the same basis as other property within the City of Marysville, including assessments or taxes for the payment of its pro rata share and all outstanding indebtedness of the City contracted or incurred prior to or existing on the effective date of the annexation. Section 4. The Community Development Director is hereby authorized to transmit a County Assessor's map, or other appropriate map, and all f.tles on this annexation proceeding to the Snohomish County Boundary ReviewBoard for consideration and review.
