A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE URGING VOTERS TO
CONSIDER PROPOSITION NO.2 OF THE MARYSVILLE SCHOOL
DISTRICT RELATING TO GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS FOR SCHOOL
CONSTRUCTION ON THE BALLOT FEBRUARY 7, 2006.
WHEREAS,it has come to the City Council's attention that the Marysville School District has
placed before the voters on February 7, 2005 Proposition No.2 relating to general obligation bonds for
school district improvements and equipment; and
WHEREAS,the Marysville School District has determined there is an urgent need for various
construction projects and related equipment to provide for the continuation of quality public education for
the City's youth; and
WHEREAS,the Marysville School District has determined that this bond issue will address
overcrowding and rapid enrollment growth by building a new high school and a new elementary school;
and
NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MARYSVILLE,WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS:
The Mayor and City Council of the City of Marysville do hereby urge all registered voters within
the Marysville School District boundaries to carefully consider Proposition No.2 of the Marysville
School District and to participate in the February 7,2006 vote of such Ballot Measure.
