HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-2178 - Declaring certain city-owned property surplus to the needs of the city and directing the sale thereof• CITY OF MARYSVILLE Marysville,Washington RESOLUTION NO..;l.17 g A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE DECLARING CERTAIN CITY-OWNED PROPERTY SURPLUS TO THE NEEDS OF THE CITY AND DIRECTING THE SALE THEREOF. WHEREAS, the City is the owner of the following property: One (I)Ventek International VI, model number 00-6512, serial number 804. One (I)Jacobsen Mower, vehicle identification number 62287-1782, model year 2001. One (I)Jacobsen Mower, vehicle identification number 62287-1717,model year 2001. WHEREAS, the City Council finds that there is no current or future use to which the city intends to put the Surplus Property; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE, WASHINGTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: The Chief Administrative Officer or her designee is authorized to use whatever means she deems most reasonable to market the Surplus Property to accomplish the sale thereof. All property is to be sold without warranty and the Parks Director or his designee shall provide a written invoice to all buyers with a conspicuous statement in bold lettering that: "ITEMS ARE SOLD 'AS IS-WHERE IS'.THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES AS TO THE SAFETY OF EQUIPMENT, ITS FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR THAT IT HAS NOT BEEN ALTERED OR MODIFIED FROM ITS ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER'S DESIGN. THE CITY OF MARYSVILLE DOES NOT CERTIFY THAT THE EQUIPMENT BEING SOLD IS SAFE FOR ANY PARTICULAR USE AND ALL PURCHASERS WILL ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY USES THEY MAY PUT THE EQUIPMENT TO IN THE FUTURE." Each purchaser shall be required to sign the attached form, which shall be returned to City at or before the time of payment.
