HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-2203 - Amending the job classification plan and pay for management and non-represented job classifications pursuant to MMC2.50.020 and 2.50.030CITY OF MARYSVILLE Marysville,Washington RESOLUTION NO. 2203 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARYVILLE AMENDING THE JOB CLASSIFICATION PLAN AND PAY PLAN FOR MANAGEMENT AND NON- REPRESENTED JOB CLASSIFICATIONS PURSUANT TO MMC 2.50.020 AND 2.50.030. WHEREAS,pursuant to MMC 2.50.020 the Marysville City Council is required to adopt a job classification plan relating to all positions of employment in the City; and WHEREAS,pursuant to MMC 2.50.030 the Marysville City Council is required to adopt a pay plan establishing a schedule of salary ranges and steps within each such range; and WHEREAS,as a result of research and information provided by City Administration and Staff, and Council's review of same, the Marysville City Council hereby finds that it is necessary and appropriate to amend the job classification and pay plans for certain management and non-represented job classifications; NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BYTHE MARYSVILLE CITY COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS: Section 1.Management Job Classifications.The Marysville job classification plan with respect to management job classifications is hereby amended as set forth in Attachment 1. Section 2.Management Pay Plan. The pay plan for management job classifications shall be amended as set forth in Attachment 2. Section 3.Non-represented Job Classifications.The City of Marysville job classification plan for non-represented job classifications is hereby amended as set forth in Attachment 3. Section 4.Non-represented Employee Pay Plan. The pay plan for non-represented employees shall be amended as set forth in Attachment 4. Section 5.Placement in Pay Grid.Marysville City Council hereby delegates authority to the Mayor and the Chief Administrative Officer to determine which step within the management and non-represented pay grid each employee is placed upon the effective date of this Resolution. Section 6.Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective May 1, 2007 and shall continue in effect until revised by resolution of the Marysville City Council. RESOLUTION - 1 /W/mv/Res.JobClassification-F Section 7.Budget Ordinance.Pursuant to MMC 2.50.030 the Marysville City Council directs that the compensation levels for each salary range and step as adopted by this Resolution be incorporated into the 2007 budget ordinance and hereby directs that a budget ordinance amendment effectuating the management and non-represented pay plans be prepared for adoption by the City Council.
